Boys Soccer beats Wahconah
The Mt. Greylock Boys’ soccer team entered Monday September 25th hungry for a win, and surely achieved what they wanted under the lights at Wahconah. Senior Sam Dils had a hat trick, along with two goals by junior Luke Swann and one goal each from senior Brady Foehl and sophomore Emi Soza-Foias. The Mounties showed their control over the Warriors throughout the entire game, especially in the first 10 minutes of the second half, in which they scored 4 goals. Senior goalkeeper Sam Edge had to make only 1 save to earn the shutout. Said Edge on his team’s boosted confidence after Monday’s win, “It felt good to get the win. We recently lost against two top Western Mass teams in Amherst and Longmeadow, and we needed to regain our form and our confidence. That is exactly what we did.” Mt. Greylock (3-2-1) hopes to build off their win against Wahconah when they face Lenox at home on Thursday the 28th.
