Greylock Runners 1st and 2nd at Berkshire Country Invitational
This past Saturday at Monument Mountain High School, the girls cross country team qualified for Western Mass by getting second at the Berkshire County Championships, behind cross country powerhouse Lenox. A couple of the top girls were missing due to illness, but will hopefully be healthy and well again to compete for Western Mass on November 11th. Junior, Margo Smith, says, “the highlight of the race was the middle school girls having a really strong JV race and going 1-5.”
The boys’ team came in first at the race. Also on Saturday, Jesse Seid was named Berkshire County MVP for his hard work and dedication to the sport. With an amazing season to look back on, they can continue to look forward as there is a good chance they will win Western Mass.
