Boys’ XC Downs Mt. Everett Eagles
The Mount Greylock Boys cross country team is off to a great start so far going 8-1 in their first 9 races, with the only loss being to Lenox. Wednesday, October 8th, the Mounties continued their winning ways by beating Mount Everett 15-50. Coming out on top for the Mounties was Tommy Kirby with a time of 16:53. The four other racers for Greylock, Will Nolan, Carter Stripp, Sam Kobrin, and John Driver all beat the number one racer for Mount Everett, Malik Hogan, who had a time of 18:52. Coming in second place for the Mounties and 5th overall was Carter Stripp with a time of  17:05. The senior captain, Stripp, has been a top runner for the mounties, placing in the top ten consistently. Sam Kobrin and Will Nolan both had times in the seventeens. Nolan placed 6th with a time of 17:28 and Kobrin placed 8th with a time of 17:58. The last member of the top five for the mounties was John Driver, placing 9th and running a time of 18:14.
