Friday November 20 ten students were selected from the junior class to participate in a MIAA Sportsmanship Summit at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. On behalf of the Football team, Senior Josh Jezouit accepted the Sportsmanship Moment Award. The 2014-15 District G Sportsmanship Award was awarded to Mount Greylock as a school. Students attended a selection of seminars led by a multitude of speakers: including a performance on the role of leadership on high school sports teams by an improv troupe, a presentation about the importance of safe drug usage from former MLS forward Taylor Twellman, and Skateboarder/motivational speaker Mike Smith spoke on his own personal struggles, and the role skateboarding played in his life. Junior Niku Dafrashi said the Summit was, “fun, especially when we got to explore Gillette Stadium. There were thousands of people there, and everyone was dressed up.”
