Coming off an .500 (11-11) season where they made their way to the quarterfinals of the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament, the Mt. Greylock softball team is poised for another strong season. Catcher Olivia DiNicola, left fielder Rachel Voller, and center fielder Haley Guest are the captains and lead the team on the field. The team is currently 1-0 with their first game coming in a 29-6 win over Monument Mountain in 5 innings.
“I think we’ve got a really great team. We have some great, different aspects that can help. We have speed, and we have hitters, and we have a great defence,” said Voller. “I’m really excited to see how it goes. I can’t wait to see what the girls can do because I know they’re a great bunch of girls and I think we’re going to have a really great season.”
