On Saturday, September 9th, the Mount Greylock Boys’ Soccer team played defending Western Massachusetts Champions Frontier High School, and the game resulted in a tie. The final score was 1-1.

Greylock’s first attempt at scoring was made by Sophomore Toby Foehl, who volleyed a ball from thirty yards out; the shot barely missing the goal over the top of the bar. Frontier scored the game’s first goal in the second half. A long pass from frontier landed in the Mounties box and Frontier was able to convert. After that goal, Mount Greylock mustered the strength to take control of the ball for most of the second half. The Mounties drew even with Frontier when Senior Brady Foehl landed a penalty kick. Junior David Falk commented on the game afterwards, saying “We played really hard out there and it was great to see how well we competed against a state championship-caliber team.”
