Boys Soccer beats Lenox

Soccer

The boys’ soccer team played a hard, but exciting game against Lenox on Thursday, September 28th. The team won 1-0, with the only goal in the game in the first half made by senior captain, Sam Dils. It was a close game, keeping the players on their toes and the fans on their feet. Senior captain Ric Donati reflects on the team’s win: “Coach was extremely happy with how we played defensively. Lenox is an extremely dangerous offensive team and we were able to shut them out. However we’re happy with the win, a more convincing score would have been nice. There are a few opportunities we should have capitalized on, and there were some defensive breakdowns that could have led to some goals.” The team’s goal is to win each game with the mindset of making it to winning Berkshire county champs, Western Mass, and then states. The team’s next game will be this Tuesday, October 3rd, against Monument Mountain, which should be another tough game for Greylock.
